I am a tenured Associate Professor of Digitally-enabled Inclusive Urban Development at the Department of Built Environment of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). RESEARCH AREAS

I have expertise in analyzing and modeling individuals’ choice behavior and (momentary) experiences in the built environment, and application of these models in design and decision-support systems. My research contributes to the field of Digital Urban Development in order to include citizens in the decision-making processes of urban transformations via digital tools and (big) data. My research areas are:

– Development of methods and digital tools (i.e. digital twins, VR, information dashboards) as design and decision support systems for supporting public participation and citizen engagement in urban transformation processes.

Urban (big) data science within people as sensors concept (i.e. digital tracking, big data from sensory experiences) for understanding and predicting citizens’ behaviors and experiences towards urban interventions and

– Investigating the impact of digitalization on sustainable urban developments
